2019-Present: PhD Student, Program in Neuroscience, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA
2017-2019: Research assistant, Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience (Paul
Greengard Lab), Rockefeller University, New York, NY2015-2017: Research assistant, Michael Bruchas Lab, Washington University, St. Louis, MO
2011-2015: B.S. in Biology and Psychology, University of Georgia, Athens, GA
Research Focus:
All animals possess a remarkable capacity to swiftly adapt and respond to constantly changing environments. My research interests center on the neural basis of this process - specifically the cellular, molecular, and circuit-level mechanisms that guide adaptive responses to sensory stimuli, and how these processes are modified by experience. In the Fishell lab, I study how threat-related information is represented and structured in lateral septal cells and circuits, and how molecular and functional architecture therein orchestrates effective defensive behaviors.
