Education and Training:

  • 2007-2013: Postdoctoral Fellow, Gordon Fishell Lab, Smilow Neuroscience Program, NYU School of Medicine, NY
  • 2007: Ph.D., Thomas Jessell Lab, Columbia University, NY
  • 1999: B.S. in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Current or Past Study:
Recent experimental evidence suggests that patterned neuronal activity acts together with transcriptional programs to regulate the assembly of neuronal circuits during development.  In the Fishell lab I was studying the role of neuronal activity in the establishment of morphology, laminar targeting and connectivity of GABAergic interneurons.
