Current or Past Study:
I am interested in the activity-dependent mechanisms of the GABAergic interneuron development.
The general requirement for activity is essential for the migration and maturation of cortical interneurons, but the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in this process are largely unknown. Therefore, I aim to investigate the specific connectivity and the downstream molecular determinants controlling the maturation and the integration of interneurons into cortical circuits.
