Education and Training:
2019-present Postdoctoral associate, Gord Fishell lab, Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT & Harvard Medical School, USA
2011-2019 Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Harvard University, USA.
2003-2009 M.D. National Taiwan University, Taiwan.
Current or past study:
I am a molecular biologist broadly interested in gene regulation. In the Fishell lab, I plan to study the spatiotemporal control of gene expression during interneuron development.
During my Ph.D. in Jeannie Lee’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, I applied genomics and microscopy to study the unique 3-dimentional architecture of the inactive X chromosome. I found that the inactive X is folded by the sequential action of two architectural factors, a process critical for the spreading of chromosome-wide gene silencing.
